EDUCATION & CONSULTING

Better Understanding, Engaging & Supporting Boys and Men

Social Strength specialises in understanding, engaging and supporting boys and men.

We work with schools, educators, allied health professionals, businesses and community organisations to strengthen the way males are understood, engaged and supported.

Through consultation, professional development and direct education, we help organisations respond practically to the behaviour, wellbeing, relationships, engagement and development of the boys and men they work with.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Professional Development & Training

Practical professional learning for teachers, school leaders, wellbeing teams, allied health professionals and organisations.

From focused workshops to half-day professional development, sessions are tailored to your team and the males you support.

Consultations

We consult with schools, businesses, allied health teams and community organisations around male engagement, behaviour, wellbeing, communication, connection and belonging.

The focus is practical: understanding what you are seeing, what may be contributing to it and what could help.

Student Programs & Workshops

Interactive education and early-intervention programs for boys and young men.

Programs can explore confidence, behaviour, emotional awareness, relationships, responsibility, healthy masculinity, connection, belonging and help-seeking.

Delivery can range from a one-off workshop or presentation to a tailored program delivered over several sessions.

EXPERIENCE GROUNDED IN PRACTICE

Social Strength is Social Work and education led.

Director Josh Clark is a qualified Social Worker and Teacher, with professional experience spanning complex frontline Social Work, classroom teaching, school wellbeing and behaviour, supporting educators, and behaviour leadership within a private boys’ school.

Combined with Social Strength’s ongoing work with boys and men across Adelaide, our approach is grounded in both professional knowledge and current real-world experience.

EARLY SUPPORT. NOT JUST CRISIS RESPONSE.

We believe boys should have opportunities to develop healthy habits, stronger relationships, emotional awareness, confidence, responsibility and help-seeking skills before difficulties become bigger.

Supporting these conversations early can also help make wellbeing and asking for help a normal part of growing into adulthood.

What are you seeing?

Every school and organisation is different.

You may be seeing challenges with behaviour, disengagement, confidence, relationships, belonging, social isolation, communication or wellbeing.

Or you may simply want to strengthen how your organisation supports boys and men.

We don’t start with a generic package.

Tell us what you're seeing and what you'd like to achieve.

We’ll explore what would be useful and tailor the consultation, training or program to your needs.
